Qurbani is an important Islamic practice that involves the sacrifice of a livestock animal on Eid Al-Adha. This is an act of faith dedicated to Allah (SWT) and serves as a reminder of Prophet Ibrahim’s (AS) willingness to sacrifice his own son when asked by our Lord to do so in a dream.
Alhamdulillah, last year you helped us feed over 5,000 people with your Qurbani donations. This year we will be providing Qurbani in 11 different countries.
“It is neither their meat nor their blood that reaches Allah (SWT), but it is piety from you that reaches Him.” (Qur’an 22:37)
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, “For every hair of the Qurbani you receive a reward from Allah (SWT).” (Tirmidhi)
Qurbani must be performed on Eid al-Adha. This means you should donate your Qurbani as soon as possible in order to give us enough time to prepare and perform your sacrifice. All Muslim adults who are eligible to pay Zakat must make an animal sacrifice.
